    but would say it would be either Yandex or Baidu

    but if you see country based, it would be Gurujifor india, Yandexfor russia, Baidufor China, iNettet for Denmark and so on, but mostly google dominates the industry

    I was using scroogle.org for a while until their Google scraper stopped working. Now I favor ixquick.com because of privacy.

    Edit: I just checked and it looks like scroogle is back in business, so either one is a great choice if you are tired of giving up your browsing habits and personal details to the big G.

    The Ask/AJ/Ask Jeeves search engine is a longtime name in the World Wide Web. The super-clean interface rivals the other major search engines, and the search options are as good as Google or Bing or DuckDuckGo. The results groupings are what really make Ask.com stand out. The presentation is arguably cleaner and easier to read than Google or Yahoo! or Bing, and the results groups seem to be more relevant.     On top of that, each country has its own popular search engine. In Russia - Yandex.com, in China - Baidu.com, etc. and sometimes the local search engines dominate the well known ones. Not always though.
