Google Crawl rate of the website

    Hello everyone

    I have website few months old.I have a question regarding crawl stats of my site.

    The google is showing pages crawled per day as shown in pic below

    i want to ask this sort of crawl rate is fine or it should be a constant curve like the picture below without any variations and i need to take some action [​IMG]

    Looks normal to me .... the peaks are when they do a deep crawl of sites.

    Its fine but constant flow its better.My sites when they have this kind of up and downs usually have and sudden drops at serps.

    Constant flow is definitely always better with easy deep indexing. The bots usually come every 1-3 days and deep index the site. The best way to increase this index speed is to have constantly updating and/or changing content

    I don't think it's normal. You should check the Kilobytes downloaded and the server speed too.

    Google decides how often robots will visit your website. You have option in webmaster tools to change this, but it is not guaranteed.
    If your website's content changes frequently over long period of time, google will re-visit your site more often.
    For example one my websites (free classifieds) visited by google almost constantly. Every new content indexed within 1 hour.

    Hi,

    I think such curves would all depend on your site PR, update frequency and back linking strategies. Generally speaking, a higher PR sites with more frequent updates and deep links would have a more smooth curve.
