Nope it`s not like .com. .com is by far better - it's the most widely recognized and better placed in search engine. The base of .com ranked better is that cost about 8$ not 1.1$ like .info and google see it much better. Tested on my skin this thing, and i`m 100% sure. Also ask other dpers in search engine optimization forum. Thanks
.com is far better. The reason? Price. .info domains are generally the cheapest TLD to buy, therefore are the most heavily spammed TLD - I can't remember when I last seen a .info result for any search phrase on any major search engine.
Yes, it is cheapest and worst for seo, but some are ranked really well, of course with more work. My friend`s site zumadeluxeonline*info is ranked #1 at "zuma deluxe online" and #2 at "zuma online" pretty cool Needs more seo work for sure. Thanks
com ranks better... i think this is an old meaning of seos. perhaps they rank faster then info - but i have some info domains witch are working very well. and if the site about some information the tld make sence also.
There is no difference in ranking for a .com vs. info. Anyone who says different doesn't have a clue. A .com will get type-in traffic as people are used to .com and people may be less likely to click a .info vs. .com because .info's have more spam sites - but everything being equal, there is no difference in rankings - period.
when i google somrthing the majority of names are .com, .net, .org, and country codes (.de,.ca,etc) i rarely see info - .coms get preference
That means absolutely nothing in terms of what ranks better with everything being equal. If you have a serious business that you are going to put a lot of time and effort into, many would buy the .com, .net or .org over a .info because they are better known, have been around longer, and don't have as much problem with spam. Domain age also plays an important role in rankings. .com's "appear" in the results more often because they have been around longer, domain age, time and effort into backlinks, and are the most popular domain extension, etc. If you have 9 "brown" horses and one "black" horse in a race, you are going to see more "brown" horses winning, but it would be wrong to say that "brown" horses are faster.
Sorry for you, but you`re wrong. .info was since 2001 in internet market, and are a lot more domains .info than .com, because they are much cheaper. The .info costs 1.1$, so google will never trust 1.1$ instead 8$... .com is far better. PS. A moderator can move this thread to domain names section? Thanks
LOL, price does not matter in SEO, There is a ccTLD (.ki) that costs $1000/year, so does it mean that they are better in SEO??? Also by the way, .info price is not $1.1! That is a PROMOTION of different registrars. How do you know that there are more .info domains than .com?? You have to know that $8 is nothing for domainers. .com were created since 1985 (that is 16 years earlier than .info)
You agree that for 50k$ I can create my own extension and sell domains with 500000k$/domain? Yes, .com is older and better. We have different opinion, and probably you aren`t a seo guy like me. I tested lots of extension. Personaly i couldn`t rank good on an info domain with lot of effort, that i done easyly with .com... .com/.org are same for seo. .net is place two. .info place three .im <last place of all. Sorry, but you're wrong. You have no idea of what you are talking about. You shouldn't be calling yourself an SEO if you don't even know the answer to a basic noob question. There isn't a single top SEO who would agree with you. Google's Matt Cutts has repeatedly dispelled this myth. I suggest you begin with the basics of SEO before you even think of calling yourself a SEO.

Pay attention. We're not talking about value of the domain - there is no question that a .com domain name is WORTH more than a .info. We're talking about Google ranking preference and there is no difference. The fact that you can't rank a .info means nothing - the only thing is shows is your self-proclaimed SEO ability.
Search "health", no domain in top 10 with .info Search "computers". no domain in top 10 with .info Search "business". no domain in top 10 with .info Search "health tips". no domain in top 10 with .info Search "loans". no domain in top 10 with .info Search "cars". no domain in top 10 with .info ...
