this depends on your own. because the PageRank is only applicable to someone who is really concerned about SEO and understand
LOL I'm sorry but that is not always the case. A PageRank of 10 is, if not, second to impossible. How many websites are there over the internet? Billions or Trillions. How many websites have the PageRank of 10 homepage? 5 or 6? Google, Adobe, w3c etc.. Giving an example of an e-commerce website having PR10 homepage is just utterly ridiculous but NOT unless you can prove that you have a website to show us which has a PR10 homepage. Okay, so let's try to go back a little bit closer to reality. Even if you have a homepage pagerank of 5 or 6 on the homepage STILL doesn't guarantee you better conversion rates in terms of income? Why? What's the use of having high PageRank if you don't even rank high for your targeted keywords and you're even on the second page? This also means that having a high PageRank doesn't automatically show that a certain website is ranking fairly high. Focus on getting your rank high and don't pay much attention to PR. PageRank is undeniably a ranking factor but it's importance is just so little compared to the other rankings factors. Out of the possible 200 ranking factors in Google, PageRank is just 1 out of those 200.
PR is great but the main thing to keep in mind is quality content. If you have both then the two should reflect.
I personally think that traffic is the most important factor. Not just common traffic but targetted traffic. Traffic that convert, It doesn't matter what your website PR is, if it can convert like crazy....That's what important.
PR is still imporant in my opinion. SEO Pros still check the PRs of top competing sites to judge the level of competition for their target keywords. Moreover, PR is a significance of the page's authority and importance in eyes of Google.
Google considers the pagerank as one of the main point while ranking a site in its search results. If you have a good pagerank then you have high chance to be ranked above any other lower ranked page.
Yuup PR plays a very vital role in ranking your website in the SERP........ iv u r getting quality back links from relevant domains ov ur Niche only thn thy would be helpful in raising the PR of ur site...... One one thing getting a back link from a top PR website also counts..........
Pagerank isn't as important as it used to be a few years back. It is still important because it gives an idea of how well your website is ranked on the web by means of backlinks. People say that Pagerank and SERP aren't correlated but this can be false sometimes. Pagerank is given by a complex algorithm which mainly deals with how many quality backlinks websites give to your website. Good backlinks means good PR, if you have good backlinks and with the "right" SEO techniques you can also increase your SERP. If you have quality backlinks from a rich keyword related to your niche on each backlink, for example you have a PR4 + site it means your SERP's should also be doing well. On the other hand there are many other ways to increase SERP and backlinks aren't the only way. I have a PR0 domain that I bought last year and just officially completed the website for last month that is ranked on the second page of Google for a highly competitive keyword already. PR is important but not as important as it used to be and there are other more "vital" things about running a website than PR. I've been a webmaster for a long time and I used to be all about PR and I was monetizing it heavily. I remember a few years back when Google drastically changed their PR algorithm and everything went south, link sales dropped dramatically and SEO changed in terms of PR. I have read a lot of replies here and a few people have given good answers, but take my word for it since I've got experience.
If you said PR is not important and you have high PR blog, please let me buy links from you at low price... or we can exchange domain??
My site www.showbizlive.com has got PR 1 .. and I am planning to sell it if I get good price then I will sell it else I will use it.
