The muslim that got on a bus, train, plane and was able to blow up people looked peaceful too. That's how they get us it would seem. The "they seem/are peaceful" argument is hard to take.
I guess I should have been more specific. I hear all the time how not all Muslims and Islam is not like this, or that. I hear how it is only a small percentage of radicals and "islamic fundamentalists" that are doing terror. However, I never see the other 1 billion? (400,000) whatever the number is, of the Muslim world unifying to condemn terrorism. I don't see them doing all they can to stop it. I don't see them out in the streets preaching peace. I don't see them spending money on commercials during Monday Night Football asking the world to join them in ending terrorism. I have yet to see anyone in the Muslim world stand up and take a stand against these problems. Islam is destroying itself from the inside out. There is nothing the USA can do to help them destroy themselves.
Now I don't want you to think I'm ignorant here, because I know that many muslims are extremely intelligent, contemporaries who are tolerant of the rest of the world. However, quite a lot of people are backwards in their interpretation of the religion, and as a result they hate everyone else for their beliefs. Islam in reality should be the religion of peace. However, it is only the extremely intelligent, contemporary muslims that say this. The rest act in a wholly primeval manner, by justifying antisocial actions by their interpretation of the Qu'ran. There is nothing wrong with Islam. There IS a problem with those who do not practise it in a manner that fits today's world.
Except Scientology, which teaches its followers to eat babies, kick puppies, and return their library books way overdue.
Lets hope that the people get better educations and a sense of responsibility. They act as if they are not responsible for anything, call it ignorance. Always these apologetics. Ignorance is the first enemy of peace. Self-critics are strongly recommended.
Mike when I hear the chief honchos of the Islam religion publicly denounce violence and terrorism. And proclaim that those who commit those act are going to to spend eternity with 80 whores then I will believe what you say.
That one's simple. Western people are conditioned by the bullsh*t media to believe that any follower of Islam is a terrorist. Take the latest crap with the supposed "liquid bomb terrorists" alledgedly planning to blow up planes en-route to the USA, half of them didn't even have passports for christs sake. We're all being fooled and the biggest worry is that most people are too stupid to realize it.

I knew the moment my finger hit the enter key that I was going to hear that line. Did not sound like a real punishment; did it.
It sure as hell wasn't Baptists that killed that nun or burnt the effigy of the pope. And, No I don't believe that. All the Muslims I know are fine and honorable people. Most of them are embarrassed by the radical element and denounce it. The local Mosque even has a banner saying "come and hear the real truth. Islam is peace." I have met these people and been in some of their homes. They are not violent terrorists. But until the central leadership of the faith denounces these violent act and the people who commit them the general population isn't going to accept that.
