Hi, I am starting link building campaigns with 2-3 different service providers and I was just wondering what's the limit to the number of links allowed to be posted in a given day to prevent the site from getting penalised in Google/yahoo and the campaigns to look natural. Thnx
Try to build backlinks from every sources possible, don't do too munch, i don't know the limit of backlinks per day but i read a topic from a guy doing around 200 backlinks per week and his position decrease in Google.
Search engines rely heavily on links from other web pages to rank pages. This is understandable, since if search engines were to rely only on web page copy, it would be too easy to manipulate results. Inbound links from quality sites are more difficult to get and take time. Precisely for this reason, they carry significant weight. Google's Pagerankâ„¢ search algorithm heavily favors inbound links. Other search engines, although they have their own algorithms, also place significant importance on inbound links. you can make your bakelinks with the help of forum posting,blog coments,social bookmarking,article writing etc.
The key is to be constent and make sure you build backlinks for similar keywords as opposed to just building backlinks for the same keyword. For example: 2 backlinks a day for "Make money online" 1 backlink a day for "Help making money online" 1 backlink a day for " Make money on the internet" And some days you can do 4 backlinks instead for "make money online" or one of the others. The key is to be consistent and stick to your schedule. As long as you don't get 200 backlinks in one day and then no backlinks later, Google and Yahoo won't notice a thing. If you consistently built 200 backlinks a day, you would be fine... but that's unrealistic. There's no limit to the number of backlinks a day as long as it's somewhat consistent.
Nobody knows a limit, if one even exists. Don't build the same number of backlinks each day because that doesn't look natural to Google. Do more one day, less another.
the trick is to build incrementally, think about it, a site which has just popped up is unlikely to have hundreds of people linking to it, however one that has developed and is already established can build at a higher rate and look natural.
i think its impossible to know for starters any amount of links you get in a given day might not be crawled by google immediately so if you do 10 links in day 1 and 10 in day 2 its possible fr google to see 1 link in day 1 and 19 in day 2. But to be safe you should start with a few a day and the gradually increment. the more links you have the more links you can add on a weekly basis. Thanks for the great feedback. My site's PageRank is already 2 (for the homepage). Does that mean I can flex a little more. Moreover, I checked google for backlinks to my site and I find them to be Zero. I am confused how did my site even got a PR of 2. And my pages are showing frequently in google.
pagerank only updates every 3 months or so, its possible that you did have backlinks last time it was checked, also there is the possibility of a dropped domain, and as for rankings that could simply be due to content and being in an easily competeable niche.
