I just finished developing a social networking site written entirely in PHP (I'll only post the link when you want me too) and let me tell you this PHP thing works wonders. It took me a year to learn everything though...but d*mn it, it was worth it. anyone else here love PHP?
ASP SUCKS. HA! Anyway here's url of the "social network" I was talking about splitcell.com please do sign up. It's still a little rough. Oh and if you guys can help me design the landing page that would be awesome.
I'm with you! I currently know a dozen different programming languages from VB, ColdFusion, JavaScript and more, having started on Visual Basic for Applications. Of them all, PHP is the one I prefer to use and use primarily for all of my website projects. It's so intuitive and just flows nicely.
I like PHP okay and use it because it gets things done and is so easy to find hosting for, but it's not my favorite. It's not too elegant and its OO model is not the best.
Well that's not good. I never got into PHP due to not wanting to pay for decent hosting or a domain name yearly. I've considered getting back into it lately, but works seems to take up so much of my free time.
