I'm 13. I admit it. I want to earn money, but getting sent checks to my home won't work out too well. *COUGH PARENTS COUGH* I want to use PayPal. You can read in my introduction thread about that. But I'll re-say it here. I want to make money to make more money. I love internet marketing, I think it's new, fresh, and anyone can do it! I want to spend most (rest on internet gaming ) of my money on buying new products, and telling people the truth. That's what my dream blog is like, but that takes money, and I can't get that money, because I'm Underage on PayPal. Is there any way I can resolve this? Or is there any way I can make and spend money without PayPal? Or should I give up on internet marketing, and blog for fun and dream of the day I turn 18? Or should I just quit internet marketing altogether, and not even blog?
Get a cousin/brother/sister/anyone that is old enough and that you can trust to put the paypal account in their name and then you control the password so you have the ability to accept paypal. As long as no fraud or any thing illegal is going on with how you earn your money .. no harm no foul. I think also you will need it to be someone that doesn't already have an account set up. I'm not a lawyer and i dont know if there are any legal issues involved here. But thats how i would do it if i was your age. Mike
Here is what I would do if I were you. Not sure if you have a great relationship with your parents because of your comment, but lets assume they are rational people. I would tell them you want to try Internet Marketing. You think it would be a great learning experience and a chance to earn money as well. I would make some offer that you would like to keep 1/2 the money and have them save 1/2 for you for school, car, whatever. You can tell them you will explain what you are doing to them whenever they ask (chances are they wont and will not have a clue what you are talking about anyway). In order to do this right you really need to have them on board. Your parents should be an asset to you - use them to help you get this started. You can point your parents to a site explaining what you are trying to do if they do not understand. Good luck.
This is what I'm going to try - soon...once I get the chance. But I want to start with just AdSense being taken to my house. My mom's already approved - but I need to prepare a PowerPoint (I'm a nerd) (lol) for my dad and get the whole presentation. Once they see the money (the fact that the check is acutally real..) should convince them enough so that in a month + after my AdSense attempt, I should be able to get the Paypal and implement other marketing forms.
