No offense guys, but most of these have no value. Now with .co, you guys are gonna reg all these "3d" domains in .co wasting more money.

that will have to be a discussion for a different thread, but myself and iain have chatted about the upcoming .XXX extension and without knowing a ton about it, my first thought is that it will actually be a bad thing for any adult name to WANT to be associated with.

i will explain my reasoning (without any facts, so please keep in that mind) and anyone else can feel free to tell me i'm wrong - i'm open to persuasion..
    ..
however, i think what's about to happen if you have a .XXX website is that you are going to lose an awful lot of traffic with parental, workplace and personal blocking of this extension. It will be very easy to setup your router, browser, or internet settings to completely DISALLOW any and all .XXX extensions from displaying on your computer and that will have to cost any adult website thousands and thousands of visitors.

I think if you have a .xxx website, it will almost be like being served a penalty from google and being banished to the 'adult' sector of the web.

Being a father, i think morally, this will probably be a good thing as it should make it harder for any kid(s) to 'stumble upon' adult content, which happens at an alarming rate... but as a business, i can't see any reason to WANT a .xxx extension.

Again .. speaking completely off the cuff... and i have no stats or figures or anything telse to back any of that speculation up, so don't listen to me - i could be 1000% wrong on my thinking.. just my two cents... but with that said, i still think 3dADULT-DOT-COM will still be KING, and that's the reason why. :)

    - - - - - -

now here's something i kinda just found when floating around the web myself...
Here is a "TARGET.com" product page selling a 3d book (Release Date: July 15, 2010)

I bought into a handful of 3d book genre's a while back and have been waiting to see something develop, and sure enough here's one on the shelf already.
Anybody have any thoughts on '3d Books' ? (Keep in mind that '3d books' can also be used in 'AR' and 'Holographics' as well - to some degree)

Here is what i have stashed away for the 3d publishing industry:

    • 3dAdultBooks.com
    • 3dBookReviews.com
    • 3dBookStores.com
    • 3dChristianBooks.com
    • 3dFictionBooks.com
    • 3dHistoryBooks.com
    • 3dKidsBooks.com
    • 3dMedicalBooks.com
    • 3dPhotographyBooks.com
    • 3dRead.com
    • 3dReadingGlasses.com
    • 3dRomanceBooks.com
    • BestSelling3dBooks.com

    Here is the fly page:

"London 3d:a Look Back in Time (With Built-in Stereoscope Viewer-your Glasses to the Past!) (Hardcover)"

**Please note - this is 'Stereoscopic' 3d and NOT LENTICULAR 3d

***NOTE # II .. '3dtravelbooks.com' is already taken as well :)

Registrar History: 3 registrars with 2 drops.
NS History: 10 changes on 7 unique name servers over 4 years.
IP History: 13 changes on 10 unique name servers over 5 years.
Whois History: 22 records have been archived since 2002-01-08

    Nice catch...

Looks like you have the .info as well.
The .net and org are still available. If you added them as well, you could sell them as a package type deal. It may look more attractive (read expensive) to an end user and save them trying to get them off the typo squatters.
    .
The archive shows it "Under construction" from 2001, until it finally became active in 2006.

    Cheers
    James

Guys, this is just my opinion, so I totally understand if you disagree....

I would steer clear of .org and .info names in this extension, even if you have the .COM / .CO.UK / .DE / .NET...or whatever?? I have had this experience many times in the past where I have approached an end-user trying to sell them all as a package (com/net/org/info) and 95% of the time, all the end-user wants is the .COM, and occasionally the .NET as well, but they really are not interested in buying them all, thats just my experience.

The only way I have sold .ORG or .INFO's is when that's all they want, and usually I have been approached by them to buy it? I dont bother chasing end-users's regarding .info and .org names. You usually have to have really good names (like a 3DTV.org or 3DMovies.info), or have a lot of patience to be able to sell them.

You all might have more luck that me? Good luck!!!

    Thanks James
... i looked into this after i regged it late last night.... i was trying to see WHEN it dropped and HOW it could have - not only fallen - but stayed down long enough for me to find it, especially considering all the hunters out there.
I was unable to dig that info up from the who.is... usually, you can have an idea by the original registration date, being as they go year by year, but when i registered the dot info in may, this was still NOT available... so i don't know
    .. really don't care either, i guess ... i have it now :)

I considered the dot net and the dot org, and honestly, if it wasn't "3 (dash) D" i probably would have bought them all... give me another week and i may change my mind, but i'm supposed to be in STOP mode right now.. i just couldn't resist this one.

anyway .. thanks fort the feedback James and Stuart
makes me feel better (ie - not delusional :))

Personally, I believe I have missed out on the 3D hype as I am still young [and in my teens] and have just started to become interested in business and computing etc... Please don't treat me like I'm a kid hoping to earn a million by next week, because I know thats not true, and I'm looking for investments for the resale :D

    Welcome iFuzeStudios..

My first bit of advice, save up and try and buy one or two good names, rather than hand-regging 30 crap names. There are no good names left...you may find the odd name that will at least make a you a little money, but the other strategy is the way to go..just my opinion

    Good luck
