If I were them I'd leave this project and keep the affiliates money to cover some of the loss..

 

This sounds a bit strange to me. SM doesn't need to hack your mail account to change the payment info in your SM account. They can change your SM password and paypal address any time (if they want to); they don't need your mail account for that.

 

wow that is some scary shit, im glad i used a email i never use otherwise on sharingmatrix/filesonic.

Nothing has happened to me yet though on the hacking bit but man that is a huge concern. What does sharingmatrix officials have to say about this? This is more serious then the fact that your site is broken, our security is key!

 

I think what he ment was that sharingmatrix somehow had a security hole giving the hacker access to the information though sharingmatrix, not that sharingmatrix themselves did the "hacking"

 

In your case what about the hacker keylogged you or used a rat/stealer to access your pass?? SM paid me $$$$ yet and now too paying. The thing is they are prompt to pay. Its a great sin to believe such a trusted firm simply let your ac hacked lol.

Yes me! Still no payment, i fixed my paypal the same day filesonic went up so that's not the issue, i was however on the "Pay Per Sale" plan which i think not many use.

I want to talk to the Sharingmatrix staff but that's easier said then done :/

I keep uploading files fine through ftp, but they never show up in that stupid file manager of theirs, i wish they would fix that atleast so i knew my uploads are gonna work..

Me too. I haven't been paid yet but all my amount gone to paid for few days. Hope filesonic supporters can look into this and fix it soon.

 

if filesonic info were changed then its filesonic responsibility and you can take it back just talk to them and prove that your the account owner, but blaming them for your webmail accounts being hacked do you think its reasonable?

others claim that after they emailed filesonic the webmail password was changed, guys your account settings is not included in every mail that you send. if someone hacked your accounts it will be through your PC. Have you asked yourself how secure your PC is? How many people is using the same PC? do you trust those websites that you browsed for the entire day? Do you have keyloggers/trojans/virus inside you PC?

Its simple Filesonic accounts info is filesonics responsibility and your PC's vurnerability is your responsibility

I added my info before pay day so I got mine. Others may have to wait a week to payment as I assume it's hard to go through everyone's accounts to see who's added their payment info, especially with the stats not showing up!

 

I also added my payment info before pay day but did not get paid so dont think thats the issue

 

Why do u suddenly plan to launch a new site ... SM was a good one whats the need of the new one ??
