Getting some visitors is not enough to get a click.
You should try to get more visitors. Advertise your blog and then only you can earn more than just a click. :)

You need more traffic and more quality posts/pages. Get more backlinks and gain more popularity. It all takes time. Keep working and they will eventually come and you can earn.

With 42 people visiting your site from the beginning, it's fair to be no clicks.

You need targeted visitors to click on your ads. I mean, Google Ads. Suposing that I search Google/Yahoo or other search engines for "a cure for cancer" and find an a on your site "wonderful/new cure for cancer", I might click on it. If I search "cure for cancer" and find a poor looking site and some non-relevant ads, I might just fly away and click another site.

Also, it's important to realize that people click more on the ads from the sites which are higher on search engines. If you are on position 9 and people already clicked on first 8 sites and found your ads already (those Google Ads may be on other sites too), they already clicked on them and they are not interested to click again on your site.

40 - 50 visitors daily isn't enough to receive clicks.
You better try to optimize your blog and do some link building to get traffic from search engines.

Place ads as near as possible to the content.

Add JS wait times to contents so that people have enough wait time to check out your ads.

You have completely wrong mindset. Just because you get traffic doesn't mean you will get a lot of clicks. Clicks are based on so many factors

Have your adsense ads within your content, sync the adsense theme with your website theme and get success. I get daily 200 page views and get atlease 2 clicks i.e., 1 percent ctr. I am trying hard to increase my visitors.

Try placing a banner ad at the top. 728x40 works best
