Blog Post Title Question?

Discussion in 'Search Engine Optimization' started by freebielink, Aug 5, 2010.

If my keywords include Freebies, Freebie, or Samples are my blog titles good for SEO?

    http://www.freebie-link.com/

If not, should I title my posts like "Freebie: Get a free sample of..." for better SEO?

    Thanks for helping!

Yeah, I think your homepage title tags definately check out. It might take you awhile to actually rank for something as general as Free Stuff and Free Samples, however. If your website targets a specific niche of products like Free Home Decor or Free Bathroom Products it would be easier to rank for those terms.

Your blog post titles are also really good. You should be able to capture some good long tail traffic after you build up a bunch of these blog posts.

One thing that I would be a bit concerned about take is where your blog post content shows up in the source code. The post I looked at, the search engine crawler wouldn't be hitting your actual content until line 847... it's reccomended that you should have the crawler hit unique content within the first 150 lines. Some of your pages could be viewed as duplicate content as a result.... just something to look out for.

    Hope that helps.

So you suggest to keep my blog titles the way they are or should I do them the new way?

your blog post title's are perfect in my opinion.

your home page title could be more specific if you're going to be targeting only certain products. But if you are going to be everything all possible "free samples" then just keep the title tag the same.
