Depends on the mod power the account has. I got an account that was made way back in 1997. It's at Level one...and if I report a post..it get's deleted!!!! I love deleting posts that link to money making pages. Hint: Don't link to crappy sales pages. Link to quality, like content. Then on that page link to your money making page. Then you'll be way less likely to get deleted! Link to quality that then links to money and you can link there well more than one out of 10 posts.
I love Yahoo Answers. Two of my very first affiliate sales were from Yahoo Answers. It was only about a month after I had started doing affiliate marketing. I make more sales from YA than writing articles. However, I still write articles to build backlinks.
Oh, wow. 1997! That's old. And probably pretty pro. He's right. If you link to quality articles with information that actually matters - then you won't have your answer removed. I may actually try out affiliate marketing @ Yahoo! Answers.
I only report posts that need to be reported. Some posts contain one sentence along with a link to a website... and believe me, I can't stand such answers. That's why I report them. I'd never report anyone for competing with me. That's just plain wrong.
I agree with you. The posts I report a lot are the ones linking to Vicodin/Oxycontin sites. It just gets really annoying when you ask a question that is related to health in any way shape or form and someone responds with one of those links. I have even had people link to those sites when I have asked questions about my dog being in pain. Come on? Oxycontin for my dog? Please! Yeah, I get the one sentence with a link thing. Some people are like "click here to see how to make money" and then link to a site with garbage. Craigslist is notorious for IM spammers. I once posted a want ad b/c I was looking for a washer and dryer. I got FIVE emails from people promoting "how to make money online". Maybe if they would have posted a link to a washer and dryer they would have made money off me.
Great. I think Nintendo meant that he reports posts that are irrelevant to the subject. He looks like a trustworthy guy. Why would he troll and report posts that haven't done him anything wrong?
Thanks a lot. I have been looking for this advice. I got my answers deleted after I was banned on Yahoo Answers.
that is really very complete guide on how to use yahoo!answers.... once your answer has been chosen to be best, your link goes alive and then it will be counted by google.. even though the link itsefl is no follow, but it carries a lot of weight.. i have a alot of good experience with yahoo answers
I'll make sure to keep my work good. Now you know why! Me too - hence this guide. Great. You're welcome!
It's a great post. I have been answering questions on Yahoo answer for 2 years and think your ideas are all right.
