Domain Parking is another great investment

I have one domain currently parked averaging right now $1.74 a day and it has been parked with sedo for about a week now.

I owned the domain for over a year now, hotsportsplays.com

Anyone else have domains parked earning money?

 

With a little marketing and link building you could be making easy money online

Also this domain hotsportsplays.com was once a great handicapping service that which i shut down and moved the service to another website, so the traffic still comes to hotsportsplays.com from the previous website....

 

No you dont, not as long as you have a solid domain with good traffic like hotsportsplays.com

 

You can't promote a parked domain it is against the law in some countries. It is what you call cybersquatting.

If your site already has traffic don't you make more keeping it going than parking it?

 

It's a great idea, because a future business may need to buy your domain name

 

It gets traffic from various things, one not being what the domain is used for, so parking it is the better investment

Can you explain what would bring additional traffic to a parked domain other than the traffic it was getting before being parked?

 

Before parking your domain, you should use it as an autoblog for a while: you will get some long tail traffic which will be benefic when you will turn it into a parked domain. Also don't forget you will loose some of your traffic once your domain would have been parked for few months.

 

I actually know someone who claims to do this full time. But I have never understood how it is possible to make money off this. You put some kind of ads on the site or something? How much can you change the appereance of a parked domain?
