You can set a custom username for your page if you have more than 25 likes.

For getting more people to like your page, try posting interesting content that users will actually get something out of. Not just links and promotion to your website, because people will tune you out quickly if that's all you offer.

Also, be sure to have a like box in a visible section of your website.

you need 25 fans first before you can if I'm not wrong. then just change it the similar way you change profile names. As for fans there are various ways such as facebook invites try to focus on getting real people do that sicne there's no point of fake account in my opinion. Then events and so forth.

    1. Trade links with other pages. Can be tough because you can't really tell who owns a page. But if you ask nicely and in a not spammy way in a comment to a page's status, you can often get a response and "meet" the page owner through private messages. Build a large network of page owners to work with.

    2. You can do some advertising. It can get expensive, but a couple hundred bucks in Facebook advertising can get your page rolling fast enough to keep growing on its own. The key is to keep people interested and engaged in your page. You have to post stuff that they want to share with their friends if you want your page to grow organically.

    3. Find the javascript that allows people to invite all their friends and ask your existing fans (nicely) to use it. I have it as a note on one of my pages and I just link back to that. It has the added benefit of adding fans to the page that's holding that note for me every time I use it. See #4

    4. If you have multiple pages, find non-spammy ways to cross-promote them. If you can make the cross-promotion seem relevant, it can be pretty effective. Like that note I have explaining how people can invite all their friends. I use it with every single one of my pages, always cross-promoting back to that original page. It never seems pushy or spammy and it always gets that first page new fans.

    5. You can always buy fans. I sell them, but not like the other "buy fans here" websites. My company sells fans and uses the Like button as a viral fund-raising tool. We pay 2 cents per fan we deliver to a cause or project created by Facebook users. Go to http://www.loadednachos.com for more information.

And by the way, if anyone has over 500 Facebook fans and wants to get some free fans from me, today only I have a deal for you. Go to http://www.loadednachos.com/todayonly/get/freefans to find out how you can get a bunch of free fans for your site. Sorry. Only good for page owners with 500 or more fans.

    Good luck!

Do you have a "Become a Fan" Link on the main site? that links back to the fan page - I know that's like putting the cart before the horse but then traffic can be driven in both directions, I do a similar thing from my main homepage - just a thought

If you can spare $5 US, go to Fiverr.com and look for people offering to get fans for your page. I did this for one of my Facebook pages and got about 500 within 48 hours. This is just to boost the sheer numbers, of course, as most of these people probably weren't especially interested in my subject matter, but it's pretty cool to get that many fans!
