Why google is a popular search engine

Why google is a popular search engine? Why other search engines like bing or yahoo or ask are not used as much as google is used? Can't we use bing or yahoo instead of google?

Google is simple & easy to use. Gives me most relevant results when I search something.

 

They are innovative and go far ahead from other search engine companies. They are lie this from the beginning and that is why Yahoo and Bing are still not catch them up these days. Google was started with an idea to deliver the best results oriented while Yahoo was too greedy and got their web page plastered with banner advertisement. If Google was started with a motive similar to Yahoo they might ended up bankrupted already.

 

I tried all of them but the accuracy of Google is unmatchable. Thats says all the story.

Another factor is ease of use. The yahoo search is so difficult. It load the entire portal page. However if you see google, it only contain the search bar and half a dozen of links on the index page. So may be I like to see a clear interface and accuracy with less loading time.

 

Simplicity is the key, and when any brand name becomes synonymous with the product (Kleenex - Facial tissue, Coke - any cola soft drink, Google as a verb instead of searching), you know that it will be the most popular of its kind.

 

Simple, fast and accurate. That has always been my reason why I love Google in terms of providing search results to your queries.

I think Google would have the largest database on the world and would usually return the most wanted results for searchers. Also, it does offer some other nice services like Gmail, Google reader and adwords keyword tool and others.

Because Google has a better searching and ranking algorithm that Yahoo and Bing. Besides, Google returns more useful results to its users than the other two SE.

Google is unique search engine - I like it because there are no ads on the page as well as no information which is able to divert my attention from the main pont of my interest.

You can use yahoo, bing, or any other search engine you desire that works for you instead of google that is up to you. Google is the most popular, fast, relevant, etc. etc. If you prefer less relevant than yahoo and bing might work great for you. If yahoo and bing (especially bing) could crawl pages more frequently and identify changes like google with a much more accurate algorithm they might gain more share of the search market. Google just has a far superior crawling, grading, ranking, and end search result that yahoo and bing just can't come nearly as close to matching yet.

 

because google is so innovative. i hate yahoo because of their strict policies

 

simplicity and its easy to use interface

 

Clean interface, Fast result, Accurate result, Lot of tools to use, Great e-mail provider are some of the reason I use Google much more than the rest.
