Auction Website

    I have a friend who has an Idea for a type of auction website. I am computer literate, and I can build basic websites with xsite pro do some seo etc, beyond that I am a newbie, he is not to hot with computers. And he has asked me for advice. So I want to know what software, hosting etc, I would need to use. costs if possible. And maybe a few things to watch out for etc. any advice is greatly appreciated as I am not to clued up on it,

    Dude!

    Hosting much be something so strong incase if you website get Clicked up and become famous all out there!

    And script, Use PHPBIDPRO with some edits and it would be great!

    Or tweak Commerce scripts to your like and dislikes :D

    Thanks for the reply mate, Yeah I heard of PHPBIDPRO looks good, will look into that further. Yeah I was told that an auction site would need a dedicated server for hosting. but the cost of hosting would be alot. The plan is to buy something like PHPBIDPRO and then pay someone to tweak it and set it up as a website.

    I know a small bit about building websites, but nothing about auction sites. The friend who wants to sets it up, has a niche idea, but he is not to hot on computers, hence him asking me.

    I want to give him as much info as possible so that he has an idea of where to start or who to chat to, as I think I might only be able to take him so far.
