How long does a front page listing usually last?

    Hello,

    I am trying to figure out if we land on the front page for something, say a movie trailer how long would that last for? Do we keep our spot as long as the trailer is up, does it vary from page to page, any general rule of thumb?

    Any help would be appreciated,

    If you use white hat techniques and get to the top of Google you'll stay there till all your competition becomes more SEF. Usually it takes a long time to get to the top but once your there you'll stay for good as long as you keep updating your site and getting natural links.

    Thanks. Our business is movie trailers and we are getting fantastic placement through white hat techniques on the first page of google for some big trailers. I am just wondering how long I can expect that to last.

    Using white hat methods I have maintained my top Google positions for almost 2 solid years now with my competition barely scooting up. I find the ones that don't do SEO seem to mix around the page one while I just compete with the wiki article that sometimes outranks me...wiki is a tough one to beat sometimes.

    on my opinion, movie trailer keywords has lot of competency. if you already achieve the first page ranking, better if you stay and maintain with continuous doing link building, or else i strongly believe it will never last because of competency.

    It depends on the strength of your competitors, and more intense if the keyword competition, it can not be sustained long

    You can maintain your position as long as you continue getting quality backlinks. Though it really also depends on your competition and how good you are in link building.

    try to get good PR links all links should be dofollow try to built link wheel in a week that's would be very beneficial for your site and if you want targeted traffic then submit your site in google Local business listings.
