    Digitalpoint.com looks like it was created in the 1800s, I think it needs a design update?

    Yes, but design makes the content more presentable.

    I think its due to the dull colours (black etc.)

    Well look how big DP, it's just proof that the content is much better then the design and a flashy design is not needed. However with that said, I do agree the homepage could use a spice up but it's not needed.
