What exactly do you mean? As far as I know anyone can edit it, but any unrelated links would be removed no matter who put them there.
Biker im talking about related links being taken out. I can find related links there but for some reason an editor keeps taking them off. Is there anyway technique i can use to get them to stay?
Same thing happened to me. Apparently it's all about politics, so you'll need to look for a top wikipedia editor that can be swayed with cash But honestly, I think it's just luck if you can get a link on there. That's all the info I have.
Its quite simple. Create a useful website that relates to the Wikis content. Wiki is not for profit so they dont appreciate external sites that sell something or are plastered with Google Adsense.
Exactly, Wikipedia links are worth thousands of $, and even though someone may state your link is/can be there, the wikipedia staff will remove it in less than a week for sure, at least this is the experiance DP members have so far. Correct me if I'm wrong please.
its super biased. If it seems like the owner of the site could AT ALL be trying to gain traffic for monetizing reasons rather than to share free information it will be pulled. I put up pages with no links pointing to a buy page other than in the navigation and it was pulled.
No its not biased. Its their website... what gives you the right to go and add junk.. and then complain when they dont like it??? Had you anything of import to add... it would have stayed is the best way to look at it. Consider that before making further posts to the Wiki. Lastly, would you let a million fools trample all over your website adding their links freely, and hope to maintain credibility and quality??? Peace
Not necessarily. I have added links; some have stayed, some haven't. I've also found my links on there already added by someone else. Importance is a relative term.
I had a few links that were constantly being taken off. I just out them back, along with my reasoning on why they should be included. It probably does not hurt to sign up/in instead of doing it anonymously. My links have been there for a while now. Could be that the editors are busy ever since Stephen Colbert told everyone to start changing stuff. LOL.
I got some listings there Add as a member and only in the most relevant pages and also the links where they are no adverts. They wont remove it Amit
I also got some links survived in wikipedia even with adsense on those pages In my opinion the quality and relevancy of the content on your pages are crucial. Also, absence of any kind of advertisments is very useful. At the same time, editors can pull out your link if they feel so even if your page is packed of relevant info, ads or without them...
I'm literally being hunted for trying to put links into a certain type of category (gaming). There's one member there who will check back like every 30 minutes to see if I posted my link on there. She even tried to contact the Administrators, simply because I added my link there once. Psh. >_>
I just removed Adsense from one of my information pages and then added a link in wiki. I will report what happens with it. It's usually within an hour that they will remove it if it is not approved. Col Didn't last 5 minutes
