Anyone hosting with IWHIC or usahostingcafe now?

I would like to know if there is anyone in this forum that is hosting with IWHIC (USAHOSTINGCAFE).

I want to know how their experiences have been. I have my main site there since close to three years and just when I was relaxing to the thought that the services are good, tested over long periods, trouble began lurking.

Last two months have been horrible. Started with:
    1. Hacker attack - admin washed his hands off saying, I wasn't changing PW frequently enough although they removed the malicious footprints (which I doubt now)
    2. Complete data loss, (full three years of painstakingly built content, 35K email IDs). Admin wasn't at fault as according to them it was I alone that had to back up the data
    3. phpList won't upload (- admin advises not to use third party scripts, although phpList is part of the suite I purchased)
    4. Now the server crashed and they realized it after almost a full day. They are fire fighting now but want me to upload my backed up data which I took a fortnight ago. The backup is nothing but a plain report running like a server log. Alas, really hopeless case.

    My only intentions are
    1. to know if anyone hosting with them is happy or are having difficulties like I am having now
    2. to get some advice from them

Well I have hosting with them, and have just been informed by them that the primary drive of server has crashed and that all of my websites, files, email accounts, ftp accounts, databases and data are all lost and not able to be recovered !!!!

The message I received to my support ticket about my sites being down was basically one sentence saying "Sorry the server crashed, your files are lost - please re upload them" !!! What the f*ck kind of support is this ?? I don't have a complete record of all the sites I had hosted there !!! The fact have now told me everything is lost is a complete disgrace !! I cannot believe they have not taken backups at all !!

Anyway one else in this sh*tty situation ??

What also p*sses me off is that I had to contact them to ask what was happening - they hadn't even bothered to let me know that all my sites, work and files were lost !!!

Not just that, Alex. They first tried to wash their hands off saying I was using many malicious / scrupulous scripts. The backup is a real sham, nothing more than a log of backup activity. Moreover, their Virus scan hardly works. Don't know why they have turned so rude and sh*tty. See how obscure the tickets run, for instance
    Huh, such shameless guys...

Just wanted to upload the copy of the so called back up I did to safe guard my business.
    See the attachment.

My whois record check showed 357 other sites sharing this server. Can we hear from them about their experiences, please?

Looks like the replies they send out to their clients are just copy and paste jobs. Here is my latest reply from them ...

As we have updated earlier that the incident has been happened due to primary hardware failure. Please understand that we don't provide backup for clients account. It has been clearly specified on our TOS. We are really helpless, please get back to us with the backup with you so that we can restore it. Let us know if you have any questions.

This is the worst support I have ever experienced with a webhost, and I have worked with many other webhosts the past 10 years. I don't even think that these people speak fluent English.
"As we have updated earlier that the incident has been happened due .." - Has been happened ??

The part I like is the last sentence ...
"We are really helpless" - I think this is a definate mispelling of "hopeless" !!

Basically their server f*cks up - they can't or won't do anything about it - and their response to clients requests for help or updates of the situation are simple copy and paste jobs. Just out of curiosity, my last response was from "Karl". Whose was yours from Alevoor ?? I'd be interested in seeing if it was someone else.

I don't plan to let this drop lightly - the amount of work that this problem has caused has really pushed me to the limit now and most of my working hours next week will be fixing this mess. As well as current work for clients, I know have to somehow salvage this mess that iWhic has caused. I will definately be asking what they plan to offer in terms of compensation.

It was another nut - David who took over from Karl. But you gave me a real laughter with your comment
But Alex, do you think those decidedly reluctant pieces of cr*p will listen to us, let alone pay us compensation? However, if you decide to go ahead, let me know too.

I've wasted enough of my time emailing these assholes for the past day asking for help - they don't seem to care and their attitude is kind of like its my fault that this has happened, and that I should be grateful to them !! What a complete load of BS - I've never experienced such poor service and support from a webhost. I guess at the end of the day you get what you pay for !!

To anyone bothering to read this thread - stay away from iWhic.com for hosting !! You will regret it the moment problems arise - where you can experience first hand their unique style of customer support ( which is basically - "We don't give a f*ck !!" )

I've now cleared out all my sites from them and have them hosted with a "real" host - not this bunch of school kids who think they can run a business.

Alevoor - I wish you luck, and hope you can get out from them as soon as possible and get your sites back up quickly !!

Again, to everyone reading this - AVOID iWhic LIKE YOU WOULD AVOID THE PLAGUE !!

Wow I have not seen IWHIC on this forum in a long time. The first owners back in the day did a pretty good job, but now it seems that it's going downhill. Good Luck.

I would suggest you move out ASAP once they come online. Download the backups and start looking for a new provider.

    Good Luck!!

I can only wish you luck !! Move your domains out from there as soon as possible. I didn't want to hang around with them any longer after thei pathetic support and complete lack of help !! I've moved all my domains and sites to other hosts now and have told iWhic that I want my 2 hosting accounts closed with them as soon as possible.

Their completely unprofessional attitude is a disgrace !!

I am moving my site tonight. Btw Alex, did you ask for a refund? I mean, have you deposited any amount in advance which you may want to now claim?

I asked about compensation but they just say "Read the TOS" - that was their entire response. I was paying monthly with them, so no money was paid in advance. I am still waiting now more than 48 hours from them to confirm that they are closing my 2 hosting accounts with them. Looks like they can't even do that properly ! - What a real bunch of amateurs they really are. Pity the original owners of iWhic sold out to these bunch of idiots !!!

Lucky you;). I paid them in advance for 6 months just days ago. It's small change but don't want them to run away with it.

Your sig site has propagated fast, didn't it? I guess in just a day, right?
