Went from top position to bottom

My site is a new site and I didn't do any kind of SEO. Google itself indexed it and it was on top for the keyword "Listen It Now" for few days and now I can't find my site in even top 1000. Though for keyword "ListenItNow" its still on top 10 results.

    URL - http://listenitnow.com

Any idea why and how to get it back ? I can't see any other site with same keyword as mine. So, I deserve top rank.

New site rank hing temporarily like what has happened to your site, Now it is facing actual competition. Just keep building quality backlins from related backlink and you will be back on 1st page but it is not so easy.
you need to do very hard work.

    Hello Peon,

Its simply because your URL is a keyword rich URL...when in sand box it got lucky ONLY because of the URL name...But in the longer run in order to stay among the TOP 5 you will need to carry over with the SEO of your website.

    Many Thanks
    Smita

It always depends on how many real competitors are in your market. Sure everyone might want to rank for it, but how many people really specialise it and DO IT WELL enough to be popular with both spiders and humans alike?

First of all both the search will provide a different result. If you will search with "ListenItNow" then ofcourse you will get a result. As it is your domain name and other is simple words which google will search like "Listen+It+Now". If you want your site to be on top for particular keywords then it is good if you consider to do a complete SEO.

Yeah, its true. Why don't you try some other keywords like "Free Music Streaming Online" with 43M competitors only?

This... There may even be billions of results but if only 30 people are actively trying to win the search terms that means you can get to 31 quite easily (not easily but you get the point). Then you have 30 others to "beat" to get number 1, and that depends on how authority there site is (most likely high), and how many backlinks they have with that exact anchor.

The only people searching for fragmented sentences might be elementary aged students. I suggest doing keyword research for search terms that actually produced qualified traffic.

thats temporary on new domains...work on some great content and build some incoming links and you will see it move up slowly in SE results.

I needed to rank high so that if someone knows my software name and needs to download it, he might use google to find it out.

Consider building quality backlinks on high PR sites and pinging the links you create.

Keyword in domain also help to rank your keyword. Sometimes newly launched site will appear in first page for some days and suddenly gone. I also tried to search that keyword and find your site but it's not listed in top 100 serp result in google.
