Hello guys, I started a women's health care blog recently. But still its a PR 0 site. Can anybody advice me to improve the PR to 3 to 4? I cannot afford buying links. All I can do is to exchange links and blog posts in same category. Thanks. You can see the site here - http://www.juzle.com
Buying links is not a good idea anyway unless your targeting specific sites (automated tools are very bad). The best thing to do is build links naturally and without spending any money. For example you could add a link to your blog in your signature using relevant anchor text. I would also recommend focusing on content rather than PageRank. Regards, Jack
Add more valuable fresh content+ add and exchange links. Those are the best ways to get a high PR. You can also post a link to your blog on other blogs or even as a signature in this forum, you'll be surprised at how much traffic that generates.
I would say just keep building links but my site is a pr 0 too and over 170,000 links according to google. It does not rank so bad, though, and that is really what i am after and I would say that you should focus on search engine rank too. That is what gets you the traffic.
Yes, I know. I am concentrating on the content uniqueness as well. But for some reasons I need PR too.
You need PR in case you want to sell links or paid articles . Try to do link exchange preferably 3 way, and receive backlinks from sites with high PR. Try to do some job for some webmasters and them to give you a link to your website. But don`t put too many links at a time. Add them over the time. Best of luck.
Keep building links, search engines pass on PR through links (dofollow only) and so you'll receive some PR for each link pointing to your website. Obviously the higher PR the website that links to you is, the more PR you receive.
actually which one comes first...page rank or traffic ? because i think to get traffic i need page rank so users can easily see my website on search engine like google...but to get high page rank i need traffic to push search engine to put me on the top level...
You don't need traffic to build page rank, and you don't necessarily need pagerank to rank in search engines.
Your niche(women's health care) is most often used one. If you really want a Pr increase, i recommend you to continue your reciprocal linking activities. Remember your quality link exchange will get you to high pr.
I would have to agree with Zomex. I actually wrote a blog post about this subject not too long ago. People get so wrapped around PR. If you create good content, and make a reputable name for yourself, you will slowly get better page rank. And maybe higher Alexa ranking. Neither one of these are critical though. Blogging is an almost full-time job to get traffic, especially with all the blog competition today! But, I still think it comes down to putting in the time. Very few quality, long-lasting blogs get popular over night. There are exceptions. But, even if you do get popular, you have to maintain it. It is not something you just do-and-forget-about-it. Good luck!
Easier said than done, if you don't know what your doing... But, the simple answer is, get your domain/link on a couple of PR 4-6 sites, and the next PR update Google does, your sit should move up to a PR2 or so...
That won't necessarily happen. My site's got several links on many sites of varying PR, up to 5 and it is still a 0 after almost 4 months. And yes--most of them are highly relevant.
