A 60% CTR is possible. I would say that digg4it site would be that or more. They AdWords advertised so heavily, and thier site was basically 99% advertisements.
my ctr is like 15%-30% yes n it's true but not for the sites in my signatures. normally it's 5%-10% but for some niche it's high.
I discovered this fact some time back on a site that mostly appealed to age 35+. I added a few content pages that appealed to the 16-24 age group and found much higher CTRs and affiliate program purchases. In fact one of those pages is the highest revenue producing page on the entire site - combination Adsense and affiliate programs - and it's not even about the site's overall topic. Don't aim too low in age because most kids won't have credit cards and ads won't be high-paying - and they can't buy affiliate products. Kids will click like crazy (read, very high CTR) on any ads that have the word "free" but those ads typically won't pay much per click.
I am a noob here but... I thought that if you have images above your links you had to have a line between them or it is a violation. Not true?
I wish I had 17% CTR...mine is 1.02% to date. I thought I was doing OK, until I read this thread! How do you even get that high of CTR? Do you just have ads on your pages or what?
My one is 10%-20%. But impression not too high, so currently not earn much in adsense. I think the most difficult to increase is traffic. CTR can be increase when you redesign your site and blind the ad. Just try to change it and see which get better CTR.
Crap...Can a mod edit that post and remove the stats please? Hufferbomb: yeah i'm not doing anything special. I'm pretty sure that the age group coming to my site is about 14-18
