SBI Verified By Visa Help

Discussion in 'Payment Processing' started by shavin, Aug 2, 2010.

    Hi,

I have an account in SBI in mumbai.
I have the SBI Yuva Debit Card which is registered @ VerifiedByVisa website provided by SBI. URL: https://cardsecurity.enstage.com/ACSWeb/EnrollWeb/SBI/main/index.jsp

I want to know, how to deactivate/remove/disable VerifiedByVisa on my card?
So that now when i perform any online transaction with my card, the merchent does not redirect me to VBV website, where it asks for 3D password, rather directly does the transaction.

Please let me know the procedure. Its urgent.

    Thanks.

As per my knowledge ones you registered with VBV , you cant remove at your end, better call SBI card providers they may help you.

The problem is, when i enter my card details at websites like ebay.in & bookmyshow.com, they redirect to sbi vbv site, where i enter 3d password correctly. and when i am redirected to merchent's site, they say transaction failed.

On sbi vbv site, if i see history, i see transaction shown as successful, but with a disclaimer that "money may or may not be deducted". when i check onlinesbi.com, i find no transaction no money deduction.

    What should i do?

yea that is because if you pay other then INR, then that transaction may get cancelled, well some sites they accepted VBV enabled cards, There you can try with yuva .

bookmyshow.com is a VerifiedByVisa accepted site. Its an indian site accepting money only in INR.
    Still it gives the problem.

Look you cant avoid vbv page. Even if you are not registered you will be directed. As per RBI rules all Indian cards must provide this extra layer of security. So if you try with a new card you will see the same issue.
Now regarding the transaction failed issue contact the seller and the bank for help. Although I am sure bank wont be of much help as it is SBI but the seller may help you.

ok. then i will get my card replaced, coz of expirey date JAN 2049 and again register @ vbv to do the transactions.
    my sellers are ebay.in & bookmyshow.com
others with sbi card are able to do the transaction, so i guess, the problem was with my card only.

btw, i did transactions with my other visa debit card wich is not registered with vbv, still transaction was sucesssful.

The link or process where you visited for the registration of VbV, isn't there any option for deregistering for VbV?

I am asking this because in my HDFC's procedure, I can easily register and de-register my cards for VbV anytime - as per my convenience.

i will request for a new sbi card n then register with vbv to do the transaction.
i hope it works this time. i guess other then this, i dnt have any option.
