There is 4 months that I created my site(www.kongbags.com), and I expended much time and effort on it, I think I had done well according the desire of SEO. But where is the next renew for the PR?
Google never really sets a specific date on when they make a public update. But more or less its usually around every 3 or 4 months. Although just last month I've heard a lot of webmasters reporting that they got a pr update already. But a lot of people also say they didn't experience any changes on their site's pr, including myself. Cause currently, my blog is still stuck with pr2.hehe
Hahaha.. now that's really something interesting to see if Google could really try to eliminate their precious pr invention.lol But in case that happens, it's definitely gonna have some impact on how things are done, usually with link building and seo stuff.
What I mean is that it will keep the pr all the time when Google dont update PR but not eliminate it, and the seo can play a role in PV or IP etc.
@zhouleiaill Oh sorry, it was a reply meant for wallaceyeung's response. I forgot to mention it though. =) But personally, I don't think google would even keep the pr if they aren't gonna update it. =)
I highly doubt that this will occur, maybe not for the next x amount of years. For some people, PageRank might not be considered important in SEO (well in different ways) however PageRank, if I may say it correctly, is ALSO a ranking factor. Then again, out of the 200 possible ranking factors in Google, PageRank is just 1 out of the 200 possibilities and it's weight is not that much heavy as the others so its use is still not that really important in most cases. People target PageRank addicts and SEO noobs in thinking that PageRank is a huge ranking factory and they can make huge money out of them by selling high PR backlinks. Another black hat SEO method solely intended for passing PageRank that could lead to penalties. - Gr
Hi, I think the problem might be your main back linking sources are not niche relative blogs. have a nice day,
Updates of PR takes time, as you said that your domain has just been registered prior 4 months so google won't provide any page rank so soon. Have some patient and consider SEO for good page rank and SERP.
