webcam showing black screen :(

few month ago i purechased Soney Vaio VGN-NW27GF

there i was ArcSoft web cam was inbuilt in the laptop.

The web cam working fine from the 1st day to till today morning.

Now when ever i try to on my webcam it show Black screen rather than my picture.

I try to reinstalled the driver but i am failed to find out ArcSoft webcam in recovery center


plz help me to solve this problem

 

check your driver use x64 or x86

 

its 64-bit

 

Try uninstalling and then, reinstalling the driver. I guess this will work if hardware actually is not the problem. BTW, you are still eligible for warranty in case hardware problem is noticed.

 

i want to reinstall the driver, but there i searched alot for driver in my hard disk, but not found :-s

 

Can you see your webcam listed in the device manager?

 

no.... i searched alot

 

could be broken and that's why it's not in the device manager.windows doesn't think it is physically installed.

go into the control panel > Add Hardware
see if it will add it.

 

OK, tell us do you see any exclamation yellow marks (!) in your device manager? How many and what are those?
