Hi my name is kevin smith, my website is www.kevinsmith-photographer.co.uk/ and ive just started to get a load of traffic from the bradford city website when i display match galleries from games i photograph. I know i can do so much more with the website and need a bit of guidence if anyone can help please. The season starts next week and i will get lots of traffic alone just from the bradford city website so any ways to boost this and earn from this would be great. I know ive more reading to do but im just a bit lost with it all.

If I were you, I would definitely stay away from adsense, due to the fact that you can easily end up losing money. But if you want to get traffic, I say your best bet would be to hand out business cards and pass out flyers, mainly because your website is based on a local business. That would be your best bet.

I do that anyway, i just thought it would be a good way of generating money from the visitors at my website. Passing flyers out is my next step, as i can target a certain area based on my photography i cover. I dont even think my website is seo'ed, which i need to get high rankings which im not. Thanks

I suggest that you do researching through searching in various search engines
and I'm sure that you'll find more accurate and better results. Because there
are actually many ways and techniques on how to increase your traffic.
    Good luck, mate! :)

You can certainly get ads on your site, but there is no guarantee they'll say "Premier League logos" ( Assuming you're going with Adsense or other similar ad networks)

While you can use Adsense as a source of revenue, I'd advise you to steer clear of it. You'd get pennies per ad clicked and unless you can really drive a large amount of traffic, the amount you will get will be nothing to boast about.

Your aim should be to get new business deals from prospective people wanting a photographer.

You should probably aim to optimise your site to rank for terms like "Bradford photography", "football photographers" and other similar keywords.

Market yourself on Flickr, Facebook and other social sites if you've not done so already.

I agree with CJ.Online with regards to Google Ads (I think he meant Adwords) unless you decide to really make sure the you have ads show up in very specific keywords and you are willing to spend a little just for exposure. Old school marketing will do best for you like CJ.Online mentioned and another great way to gain local exposure is to teach a free class to other enthusiasts.

it might be better to approach them directly and ask if they want banner or ad space on your site and sell it for a flat monthly fee. Just know it might take away from the clean look of your site.

You got a lot of great skill in photography, why are you not showcasing some of your best shots on the home page? Photographer's websites are typically loaded with images and galleries that are easily accessed from the home page. Your pics are what going to do all your sales work for you. Put the best shots you have in front for the world to see.

@gr8tliverpoolfan put great tips on simple SEO stuff you should key in on.
