"Banned" under username? What does this mean?

Some users have the word "Banned" where others have something like "Grunt". Does "Banned" mean they are banned? It seems like I can still message them so they do not really seem banned.

It means they are ban from this forum for a specific amount of time due to infractions from violating the rules.

If there userid is red and the word banned appears under title it means they are banned. Otherwise is means someone has chosen a custom title of "banned."

That should likely be on the list of titles people can't pick... it's confusing *shrug*

That's a witty one. However, it would somehow look "cool" having "Banned" under your username without actually meaning it. I will try it right at least once upon having the premium membership.
