Bounce Rate 5 % good or bad ??

Thats almost suspiciously low. Because even health insurance sign-up landing pages have around a 25% bounce rate, and if you don't have health insurance you're going to die... just sayin'.

 

Seems like you might have a flaw somewhere in your site setup. 5% seems impossible

 

Its imagine i never show in my experience this bounce rate, if you have plz share your website URL with me...

it wont last for ever.. Since your visits raise up Bounce rate will rase too!!
Its impossible to keep it so down!

 

5-6% is excellent bounce rate! Mine is far higher

you can decrease it by getting targeted visitors and a new site idea . Spamming makes bounce rate go high , so better keep at quality traffic sources related to your idea .

 

Please pardon my ignorance (or maybe laziness) but thought you guys maybe able to enlighten me better than swotting it! I'm not sure I understand this bounce rate thing. What precisely is the Bounce rate?

@Cereus - I think it is a good problem (flaw) to have if this is the problem and knowing what the problem is can only be good for the community in terms of improving bounce rates.

@weathor - Is there a correlation between the age/visitors of a site and the bounce rates a site receives?

@Elberengy - what do you mean by "new site idea". Also are you suggesting the quality of the visitors helps reduce the bounce rate?

yes visitors quality reduce bounce rate if they are targeted and not from spamming , Design of the site and what it provides also lowers the bounce rate if it's cool , No ads. on Homepage also lower the bounce rate .

5% is amazing i have maybe 40-50.

 

5% is extremely good for a bounce rate. Anything over 50% should need addressing really.

You are one of the very few to achieve a bounce rate that low.

 

5% for 120 visitors is nothing.

have you ever see 1.86% BR?

for the site with about 20 mils pageviews, 1.5 mill visits, 150k uniques, all per month.

Anyways, I still believe 5% bounce rate seems impossible even for the best sites out there. I know some good bloggers, who gets 1,000 to 10,000 page views but having 50% bounce rate and I also know some newbie bloggers who gets 10 visitors a day and yet with 60% bounce rate.

My point is, bounce rate is just that...hovering around 50 percent, anything less is good and 25% is excellent already.
