Does Google Recognizes if you change content on your webpage

    Hi
I have made some changes to the current webpage. Google told me that it has a lot of duplicate content. SO i changed the content on every webpage of my website. Now the content is totally unique.
Will google recognize the changes on the webpage or not. Will it consider the new content on the same domain or the old one.?
    Thanks

Question: How did Google tell you that you have dupes?

Yes, Google will see that the content was changed and will update in in their index.

Google will hopefully update its database when it will crawl your site next time. If its a new domain it will take up to 15 days.
But, I wonder how and why Google told you so??

    yes, they will.
Google robots visiting websites periodically, sime very frequently, some not, but will sometime. Once Google robots will crawl your site, they will see all the changes.

I do not think google will punish you for duplicate content on a single page, it's a normal practice for make a webpage. Not very often but reasonable.

I also want to know, how and when and where Google "tell" you, your site has many duplicates?

You have done good work to remove the duplicate content and Google must reward you. You need to resubmit your site map in Google webmaster tool and wait for some time so that Google re-index your site.

You just need to wait a bit more time to have your changes reflected in google results.

Google uses many different versions of your site amongst it's many servers. You will have to wait for all of them to update.

Google will acknowledge the change but is hardly to predict the time. It may take between today and 2 months before Google would acknowledge the changed of all web pages. Please be patient and the deep link building could remedy the problem for a long term as well.

You can try to submit new xml sitemap on GWT and set a crawling rate to give a chance for Google to see the recent changes on your site...

I had experimented that Google recognized the words of my content and the date when I created it and changed it. Google becomes smarter every day :) It is good for the really good content :)

I've found with new sites it can take quite a while for google to update it's index. It could easily take up to 6 weeks for some pages if your site is brand new.

Google Bot is able to update and recognize your changed web page as they cache every page of indexed websites. So you have to wait for some time. In the mean time you try some linkbuilding methods this will work like magic.
