How to removethese sections in the WordPress Admin page permanently?

I am tweaking my blog's admin section and I wanted to delete or hide the following sections permanently, for Me and well as for the registered users.

The sections which I wish to delete or hide permanently are: 'WordPress Blog' and 'Other WordPress news'.

You can have a look at the snapshot in the attachment and get an idea of what I wish to hide.

Do I need to use any plugin or should I edit any core file in order to achieve this feat?

    Thanks in advance.

Just use 'click to toggle' at the end of both line to hide them.

You can just hide them. WPMUDEV has a custom dashboard widgets plug in, it also allows you to add your own content, I use it to add video tutorials and rss feeds to my dashboard for my users....but that's the only one that I know of.

This does not work for subscribers. They get to see all the remaining dashboard widgets which I mentioned.

The system is already built and running so I just can't go to WPMUDEV now.

Of course you can. It's a membership community. You can join whenever you want. I highly recommend it if you are running blog networks or Buddypress sites. I joined a few months back and it has more than paid for itself.

I found the solution from the WordPress.org support forums.

I need to add a small CSS mod to the global.css in wp-admin/css.

And the 'screen options' and 'help' disappears from the Dashboard.
