If you copied any thing form web even from PDF every search engine will identify it and your comment will not get any benefit. So don't just copy form any were write in your own words and update.

I still say backlinks from dofollow blogs outweigh forums or any other, providing they are remotely popular anyway. Nofollow don't do much of course. For some reason it seems google has some liking for blog posts. Go figure why. I am sure they like others as well, but they seem to suck up blog posts more than anything and fast.
try to search some do follow blogs and post comment on them they will act as a backlink and it will really boost your SERP
I have so many of blog commenting and forum posting but then after i only realize recently 90% of them are nofollow. Is this the problem why my site is rank so far from the first page of Google search result?
You forgot blog commenting OP. Hoping others link to you is a fools game. You have to give them a reason, or provide commentary on their own content.
