For every term I try to bid on, even random bunch of letters like hghf123.. I'm inactive for search, Minimum bid is $10.00.. Is it because it's a new account, or does Google just hate me, or could it be because I'm linking to an Azoogle offer? Thanks.
Possibly both, your site may not have been reviewed yet or your landing page may have been given a low quality score which is likely to be because of the Azoogle affiliate ad's. If you give the ad's a week or so this may improve, also try increasing the relevancy of your ad text to include your keywords.
When dealing with affiliate landing pages... Is it your own page that is landed on? (or the affiliates page?) If your own site has a low quality score - it could have been automatically assigned by the bot - and would require a review. As already stated, waiting a while may help resolve this issue... in the meantime, you could look at improving the landing page quality as well as the website quality (in the eyes of google - which includes more than just an email sign-up form, one-page sales letter etc etc). Also, keyword relevance in the ad copy and landing page etc must exist - so random words would have no relevance and likely to trigger high PPC costs if I am not mistaken...although it may be more likely that you are new.
Time will not help by itself: Keywords with minbid = $5 or $10 means Quality Score = 0 and they will not become active again if he don't take any action like changing/reviewing the landing page.
If he is blocking google bot from accessing the landing page it will trigger a manual review (or is that not the case?) and therefore be assigned no quality score until reviewed... in that instance, time 'could' remedy the situation. However, as mentioned, you will need to look at your landing page, ad copy, keyword relevance, site quality ... and evaluate it as a novice user (or ask someone to review it) - and then you will know where to improve.
Ahh, thanks very much guys. I am linking directly to the affiliate, so that would be my problem, I will make a landing page, In the landing page should I have alot of outgoing links to other pages of the site? I'm trying to chat with my Azoogle Rep (Angelo) but time zones are hard Thanks.
is there a way to get ad-words reps to review your site. I have a very quality landing page, non competative keywords and a few of my terms are $5 each, while others are 50cents.
Ok, you have identified the problem now the remedy should be much more simple. Designing a small website based around that product will help distinguish you from being 'just an affiliate' Privacy Page - seperate to your landing page. Contact Page - seperate to your landing page Content filler - some information about the product etc. Landing page - this should ideally be part of the mini-site and not an island page. I wouldn't include too many options to get off the page (a couple may be helpful) - but include any relevant information a visitor would need to know about the product. Also remember keyword relevance - matching the ad copy to the content on the landing page etc. The overall impact is hard to know without trial and error... but dont make it where their only option is to click the affiliate link as that will be poor quality. Sorry, not exactly sure how to get a manual review of your landing page and they may not give any specifics on how you could improve it - but if you check your landing page against the basic overview guide, and that keywords are relevant - then if it provides enough information to visitors then it should receive a better quality score. Quality score is never shown numerically - and I doubt anyone would give a definitive value to your landing page when manually reviewed. Good luck.
Definetly sounds like a low landing page quality score. Try another page and see if the bids are reduced. It may take a few days. Also giving the adwords help 800# a call might get things expedited for you.
