How to remove negative publicity from Google. One of my client wants to remove negative publicity which is present in a Forum. Please guide me how to get it out..!
contact the administrator of that forum and tell him that the user who posted the message is a liar. Of course, if you have proof for that. In this moment, the administrator should remove the post.
1st step is always contact the admin, try to explain and see if he can help you. I know that me, as an admin, have helped several people in the past. If that doesn't work, try to contact the person who published the post. And the last step is the hardest - try to overcome the thread result in the search results, with your own, by doing some brand protection SEO work.
What can be the various steps to remove that -ve Forum. Please explain me in brief, i know little like Posting Press Release..
You just need to mail the Administrator of that site where -ve comment is posted and you need to prove that you are legit.
No matter what you do, don’t panic and don’t retaliate when you see negative publicity about your company, your product, or you, personally. If you respond right away, you might say something that won’t help your case. It could actually give you more bad publicity because you seem unprofessional. Avoid that by resisting the urge to retaliate. Hire an internet marketing team that has the training and experience to reduce the damage that may have been done by what others have said. Your SEO team can create professional press releases, write optimized content for search engines, and get that bad publicity off the first page of search rankings so you can build brand loyalty and trust
That's actually a very interesting question with no direct answer. You can try, as others have suggested, to have the forum remove the information (but I wouldn't hold my breath on that one) or you can try reverse seo'ing but that can be expensive and take a while.
I think one of the other option is to mail Google and let them check it. I didn't remember but they had a special mail ID for complaints like this.
contacting the owner is the quick n easy way... if he denies then the real work will start for you...
Yeah. Better you contact directory a administrator of the site and tell about the issue. There is a possibility to come out from this issue.
Ok, after searching a lot. I found a way of contacting Google and get them to check your issue. Go here - http://www.google.com/support/alerts/bin/request.py?contact_type=bug_alerts And write down your issue. And send them, this mail will be sent to Alerts Team of Google and they will pass on your mail to the appropriate department.
That's the best way to cover. You can also request the forum admin to remove the content, but that's not the ultimate solution.
Work hard on promoting the result's of your link below that post's pages on SERP. this would bring positive post above that, do this process untill that link is pushed on page above 3,4,5
This problem has planted a seed for an entire new industry call "Reputation Management". There is money in it, and if it's Google Places reviews you're talking about you simply get people to write reviews over the bad ones, which pushes the bad ones down.
There's a page on the Google Webmaster guidelines - just search for "Remove a page or site from Google's search results". It should be the first result. You have a few options, depending on how serious it is.
Utilize web 2.0 websites and title the hubpages "your name of product" sucks , or "your name of product" is a scam. Then have the question in first line such as. Is XYZ product really a scam? Or Does XYZ product really suck? Then you can of course go on to say it doesn't. This is a common ploy amongst internet marketers and affiliate marketing. Then if you can't flood the page enough you simply build backlinks to these pages with the anchor text of it sucking or being a scam.
Firstly as a user of the website YOU CAN NOT have content removed from that website. The forum is obviously owned by someone else so Webmaster tools will be of no use. Secondly I doubt google would do anything about the negative publicity report. They are a search engine and unless it is their forum will not respond. Thirdly the best and only way is to approach the owner of the website and explain your case and then hope they see it from your angle and remove the post. Most forums have a 'report this post' link. Try it and you may have it removed that way.
