Reason must be quality. what and all we need to keep in mind while working on following process. 1) Social Bookmarking 2) Blogging 3) Article Submission 4) Directory Submission how we can utilize these process 100% ?
Social Bookmarking, blogging, article submission, directory submission, etc. should only make up about 1/2 of your SEO campaign. The other half should be getting your links on high quality, high PR sites that are extremely relevant to your niche (and therefore your keywords).
Directory Submissions (with a few exceptions) arent exactly 'quality links'. You are better off spending your time submitting quality articles, or creating something that other people will link to themselves than bothering with directory submirrions.
Directory submission, social bookmarking will only do some of the part. Write quality article (only a single article a day) try to become the first commentor on top blogs which are known for their quality comment there, try to marketise your content within your network and use forum effectively. that's all after sometime you will see that you have good qualoty backlinks out there remember before using any social bookmarking or social networking sites that it will directly increase your bounce rate Vivek @ eZdia.com
Do follow blog commenting and Forum posting on relevant category is also important process for Quality link bulding. Even web 2.0 sites help in getting quality backlinks.
You can get some quality backlinks from the TOP forums. Just add your link in your signature. As for social bookmarking, it's a bit hard to find friends that share a common interest with you...

I find it's helpful to review my competition and then see how many backlinks they have to their ranking pages that lets me know how many links I'll need to build to compete. I can also review from where their links come so I'm creating similar links. Often I'll find sites that link to them where I can also create a link.
to drag traffic i think you forgot the most important part, social networking. Whereas as far as blogging and article submissions are related, its unquiness is paid into attention.And for social bookmarking rather going for thousands of submissions i just go for 8 - 10 popular and good page ranked sites.
