Java Script is not good for SEO.?

Java script in SEO point of view is neither good nor bad, as SEs cannot understand scripts. They see what the users see with the javascript in the browser is disabled. Many non-web supported fonts could be implemented in websites with the help of cufon (Custom Font) which is java script based and SE friendly. Cufon helps the bots to crawl through the image-text and index them.
Javascript is a good alternative for flash content which needs heavy loading time. javascript can perform almost all the effects and outputs that are given by flash. So considering all these, we can conclude that javascript is not useful for SEO, but is SE friendly.

I beg to differ. Googlebots can understand JavaScript ever since 2008! and JavaScript is not the same as PHP scripting because that is another different story.

Looks to me that Google can really understand JavaScript and can pass PageRank as well.

 

Not all search engines can follow javascript navigation. I avoid using it in web design if at all possible.

 

the only thing i can add to this, that java scripts slowing down site, and i have this affect on my site. but i can not do without java script, because, it blocking from copying images and ability to highlight and copy Text.
