So I have been operating with iPage hosting for several months now, but every day there is another problem with them and it is getting on my nerves very badly. I thought about just switching back to GoDaddy hosting, but then I came about the idea of just hosting my blogs (which were already ran using WP) on the actual WP site. This would save me money, but also I thought it might help my SEO. Considering that if I build a free WP blog using their site it would be in direct relation to wordpress.com which is an authoritative site. So would it be easier and more efficient to run an SEO campaign on a WP or Blogger blog rather than on my own hosting, or would it make no difference?
Yes u r right that WP.com is authorized site but it can't provide u any seo benefit when u create a new account there to publish ur blogs. It wud be a new address as u take new domain name and u have to all the things for promotion of this blog as you do with blog host on ur server. So from my point of view blog host on ur server is best way bcoz u have much more control on it.
According to my experience, if u have your own domain instead of blogspot or wordpress, it has more worth to search engine and u have more control on your website such as adding url rewriting, robots.txt modification etc.
