Did someone notice the following line on https://www.paypal-apac.com/india/
I am dead, I get the work from US which i complete with the help of 2-3 other Freelancers, now how I am going to make their payments. I receive payment for services. This is ridiculous.

    Dont worry about this rule.
I am paying my workers from that money which I have earned through my online SEO works.

Is there a possibility that the issue would be solved by the end of August?

I believe it must be the rate when we do withdraw request. Bcoz paypal cheque will come in INR so they had to input the amount in the cheque.
USD cheques only will consider the rate on the day when it is sent to clearance to them.

They will send cheques in INR and as well as I know they send city bank cheques. As there are branches of City Bank in Kolkata, so it will take 1-2 days to clear but there is no fixed time frame when it will reach you, may be you are in Kolkata or Mumbai. In general it takes around 12-15 days but also got some news that many Paypal users get cheques even after 2 months or not.

i think they put the conversion rate when we request the cheque.

my question is tht, if we never receive a cheque (with no hope of encashment), the amount still gets deducted from our balance? can anybody who has done this before confirm this? wht happens if we never receive a cheque we request? (and never be able to encash it)? shouldnt they deduct frm the balance only after our cheque has been encashed?

You and nirmal have calm be down but still its scary because they have put this on their website i fear that once they start online transaction again, they might block sending payment.

By the way has anyone sent or receive payment since the email bomb by PayPal?

This is not a new thing. This mail was sent by paypal almost 4 months ago.
At that time, lots of DP members was confusing this as a spam mail.

BTW this mail is only to show RBI that paypal is working on their rules and regulations.

The real big problem now is the withdrawal suspension...

The postal service at my area is pathetic.. :(
Requesting a check would be nightmare. Its like going a hundred years back...wtf

Instead of $5 refund, there should be an option of a better courier service.

OMG, I also received the same. Now what to do. If we have to withdraw electronically we have to wait.

Don't you think once RBI finds out that PayPal is not following the rule, they are gonna block service once again until paypal blocks such payment transfer?

I think manual check will take around 10 days to reach and another 10 to 15 days for collection . Now we have to wait for 20 to 23 days to get the PayPal money . Few months back RBI also restricted to make direct PayPal payments from Indian PayPal accounts and all the payments should withdrawn on that month itself.

They never care about SWIS transaction , and always try to catch the daily Bread earners
