PayPal temporarily suspends electronic withdrawal in India, only cheque/check

NO !!! Paypal Cheques are in INR and City Bank cheque.

 

WTF!! Paypal really suck now. I don't know whats their problem but they start delivering cheque with Indian Post i have to quit Paypal a/c.

 

Just hope they don't disable sending the received money. It'll be a disaster if that happens.

 

This is dealing with withdrawing. You can spend money for hosting, domain etc.

 

I lost around more than 250$ in just changing wire to cheque due to Forex conversion..

 

There is nothing in the hand of Paypal . It works well with all other countries . Last time, it was because of RBI issue . Now it looks like the same . I think RBI has started another play .

 

Yeah. This definitely sounds like a RBI issue.

 

If it goes on, I mean if Paypal unable to restore the bank withdraw anymore then thousands of freelancers and web professionals will be affected. can we start mass petition again RBI??

 

@Anybody who's in contact with lawyers - can't we have an RTI case filed?

 

I am hoping that the problem gets resolved soon, I think it is the same problem that occurred some months back,,issues with RBI I guess.

we need to see the paypal tos they will be covered up with their terms and they will be approved by their law team

 

I wonder why is RBI acting against Paypal in tits and bits. Make it stop completely so that an alternative emerges for all of us or else just allow it to function.... fully!

I will never withdraw through cheque. Few of my friends had tried through cheque withdrawal and they never received money to their banks.

I will wait untill end of this issue, no matter how much it takes. Whatever the amount is, money is safe in paypal. I wish issue will be solved even if it takes time.

I request indian users not try for cheque withdrawal. paypal must solve the electronic transfer for Indian users because Indians are connected to payapl because of that option only.

 

Paypals Checks are in INR.. but they take a lot of time to reach the people its better they use courier temporary soo we get fast checks i cant wait ages for a check .. we need to use cash for daily purposes and paypal should have told us within a month atleast

 

You are totally wrong.
Cheque withdrawl is slow process but you cant say like that.

I have withdraw 5 times by cheque this year, and all cheques reach to me in 15 days.

And most important, your cheque is locally from CitiBank, India, so it takes only 3 days to clear. Not like commissionjuction cheques.

 

What does it mean ?

 

@ Nirali : I dont say its unsuccessful. But i will not try that option. Because my friends have never received the cheques. And also i have seen here on the blog saying this method took so much time and sometimes cheque does not reach reach.

I am feeling like quitting PayPal. Wish Google extend it's Checkout system worldwide soon.
