http://www.piraeus.travel/ is about 2 months old The site pages have been indexed and google sends some considerable traffic even before completing some initial SEO campaign however the webmasters tools https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/home does no report ANY links (external or internal) to the site If google did not send any traffic I would be really worried but now I am just wondering what the problem might be Any suggestions are welcome
Hi, I really think it just has to do with meta tags not being added to the HTML of your site. See, what happens sometimes is that Google will crawl through your main pages and forget about everything else since there are no tags telling it what to do. Think of meta tags as doors, and the Google crawler as the key, you need to create a door so the crawler can open it. Without the meta tags, Google will go through the entrance(door) without realizing there was something protecting whats inside (your content). If you don't understand what I mean feel free to contact me anytime.
Actually youd be surprised. I noticed the same thing happened to my site and once I started adding meta tags, my site was then more noticeable on the net.
Don't worry too much. this happened on my end several times within the past few months. Even right now webmaster tools does not show any indexed urls but Google keeps crawling on a daily basis. The external or backlinks to my site are show. When that happened the first time I was almost in panic too because I thought we got penalized. After a few days everything was back to normal. So my advice is to give it a few days and see what happens and if nothing changes then get nervous and eventually swing over to google's webmaster forum and ask there. Cheers verdecove
I have also experienced this because one of my site's linking status did not get updated even after some weeks but after a while suddenly I found thousands of links reported. The links and indexed pages have already been counted by Google but it is just the matter of taking time to display them.
@dmorrisonprofessional I never said the site is not noticeable I even said I get visitors without much SEO ... but thanks everyone for the answers
2 months and just finished your initial SEO campaign. It is quite too early for you to be checking for your backlinks, give it some time dude and have patience.
LOL Google's Webmaster Tools (like its LINK: operator) only show a "sample" of your inbound links at best. And it typically takes several months before they start populating WMT with some of your links. Even then it will likely only be a very small sample of your external inbound links. If you're getting traffic from Google then you're ranking. If you're ranking I would bet a paycheck they know about at least some portion of your backlink profiles. Don't worry about seeing them in WMT. They will show up when Google wants you to see a few of them.
Its the best "sample" there is and I have had backlinks in WMT for other domains even "younger" with less SEO campaigns in place ... so I am not "worrying" just "wondering" curious to hear your experiences ... thanks for all of them
