Ive had a couple names get registered right when I was searching them! Is there a safe place to find out "exact searches" on unregistered domain names. Can I do this on google? Thanks

stats will be used by companies when you search with them.

your best chaoice will be checking whois within your server or directly from the registry.

I haven't found Godaddy to snatch domains either.

It's been a while since I've heard of this. It used to be a huge problem.

I'm registering domains on GoDaddy and it never happened to me. Actually I've heard only one company snatching domain names in history, I didn't know it was a common problem.

First you must write your complaint here: reports.internic.net/cgi/registrars/problem-report.cgi
Then I think you can search domain here: register.com. Since they are one of the oldest registrers on the net, it's possible that they can be trusted.
And last, you can always check whois information for the domains you want to register at registrar.verisign-grs.com/whois/

A friend of mine had a domain become unavailable right after searching for it on GoDaddy. Whether coincidence or not I don't know.
