You cant do much about this aspect as ads come from third party and they wont share all information like who clicked an ad with us

There are some relatively inexpensive software programs out there that you will need to install on your website and/or inside your PPC campaign. They will measure click fraud and some will even prepare a report which you can forward to Google or Yahoo.

Really, though - most PPC programs already filter out most click fraud and the rest is not significant. I would not worry about click fraud.

if you have concerns you can:
    a) ban ip ranges for certain countries, if you do not expect any legit revenues from them - they will not be able to access your site at all
    b) fro certain ip ranges show do not show any ads or sho some other 3rd party ads instead of Adsense (i presume Adsens is the subject of your question)

Well, I got banned from Google AdSense because some very nasty guy was clicking on my ads (I even sent Google an email that something wrong was going on - without any response).
Now I am about to use another PPC system and I do not want to be banned again.

    So, what should I do?

    Blocking IP addresses is useless.
What software should I use? How does the protection work?

use multiple ad company. on one page if you have 3 ad spot, use all three different company instead of one. There is no way to stop nasty people from clicking but there is a way to make they tired and feel like its not working... :D

i also faced a nasty person and i stop using adsense for 1 month and try some many other ads so finally that person gave up and now i am back to adsense

Sure, especially if you use Google AdSense.

In my experience there is pretty much nothing you can do. If someone wants to harm you by clicking your ads then that is what they will do. :(

Should I be concerned about my new adsense account being banned? What are the long term consequences..? Assuming I get banned, will I be able to open a new account, and when?

I should note that I'm not intentionally violating any of googles' TOS, but after reading a few posts I'm wondering if they might surprise me with some retarded rule.

Well you should certainly expect that to happen some day, and should have back up plan ready.. if you get banned you cant register again ever, cant use the same address, same payee name, same ip.. in short you cant do anything, and all the places that u used adsense at will be banned for ever

Wow. Thanks for the heads up. Is there any recourse with google if something happens? Any way to request an "unban" so to speak?

well i had my account banned but was not for click fraud but because i was having better ctr. Now what could i have done about that.. so they banned my websites only and not the whole account.. i was still allowed to use that on a new website if i were to develop in future..
but if your account was banned due to click fraud there is hardly any chance to unban it

Interesting. I've just monetized my first site with adsense, and I'm actually surprised with the numbers. I expect by the time I've got all my account details figured out, and am ready to have a cheque sent my account will have accumulated well over $100. It's not much, but it would be money I can use to develop a couple more properties. Anyway, I guess the relative "success" of my first project is giving me the jitters. Im sure everything will be ok, but I'm just waiting on my F***ing google pin code.

I tried the same stuff but not monthly its daily on the basis of total earning and total number of clicks. Yet my adsense account was banned.

I think there is no solution to this. I've got the same problem as yours five months ago, some stupid people click my ads and so google banned my account just when I'm about to received my pay check.

If you suspect that you are being targeted by click fraud, it is best to contact the fraud department of your PPC provider. If you don't get any satisfactory results, then consider pursuing legal action. Click fraud can cost your company thousands or worst, destroy your PPC advertising campaign.
