What tools do you use to keep track of your position on Google?

 

Pre-Big Daddy, just a hammer and chisel.

Post-Big Daddy, crazy glue.

 

That pretty much sums it up. Though I am running short in crazy glue this week.

 

I use the Google search box

type in my name

Im number 1

That's my position on Google....

Read threads much before you post?

 

Im currently seeing some changes in their cache but not PR updates or Toolbar PR updates.

Anyone else seeing similar results?

Google has been fluctuating wildly for months - old data, new data, back to old data - site: results similarly bouncing daily. They keep applying patches and fixes, reverting back to the day before yesterday, trying something else, reverting back to last week or last summer...

I think they know they have a huge mess on their hands and frankly I don't think they yet know how to fix it.

For the latest updates, I recommend Matt Cutts blog - he is giving daily to weekly updates on nothing of even passing interest to anyone and studiously avoiding any references to the Google Big Daddy boondoggle. </sarcasm>

The quality of your posts and your accurate assement of the current Google indexing disaster give me hope. I sometimes think I am the only one waiting to get back into the index and then I read posts like yours and realize I am not the only one going through this mess. Thanks

 

My site jumped to the first result on the keyword Gaming Downloads on yahoo and msn, but google still doesn't have me in a good spot.

I hope that changes.
