Selling Unique Formula Energy Supplement Company: HUGE % margin

Last time I'm posting this here.

Selling my entire business. Not just the website and content. The supplement stock and everything that comes with it. http:// accelerate natural energy . com

    What you will get:
    -3 similar domains
-landing page and brochure website both with content

-stock of 120 bottles with labels--unique formula. Yes, unique. That means nobody else has this formula. How did I do it? Spent the time to get in good with a major manufacturer in California. He pulled through for me. Told him what we wanted, he had chemists and formulators make it. Good luck trying to get a minimum run this small. You can't. You'd spend 10k just trying to get the product made for you from any other manufacturer.

    -packaging materials
    -accounts at manufacturer
    -professionally printed labels

    The good:
You can target about any niche you want with the 'green and natural' image and make sales. Young hipsters, old ladies, middle-aged men looking to change the world. It's really up to you. It doesn't need to be athletes. You want new copy? go to freelancer and pay something $200 to rewrite the page for your niche.

    The cheddar:
I made most sales at $40/bttle. The first run with labels turned out to be about $10. Shipping costs equate to 2-$3. You do the math. Insane margin. Recently dropped the price because I'm not running any PPC campaigns or anything. In fact, I ran 2 extremely small PPC campaigns and converted fairly well on each.

Pricing strategy is up to you. You can raise the price, set up an affiliate and drop-ship program and sit back and watch things grow. Or you can keep running PPC and shipping on your own. Why? because it's cheap, easy and the margins are on your side. Sell a few a day and make big bucks.

Why am I selling it if it's such a good deal?
I own a web design, development and marketing agency and we are rapidly expanding. I have absolutely 0 time to monitor this. My heart and pocket book aren't interested in spending any more time/money on it. It's quite obvious I'm losing out, so more power to the person who takes advantage of this.

    Is it safe?
Yes. Again, made by formulators and chemists in an FDA-regulated facility.

Is there a future in it?
Yes. New FDA rules haven't affected products like this. Only liquids/drinks. When you run out of stock you simply call the manufacturer and they make you more. I'm still on account. They just sent me a letter the other day, actually.

    Why no traffic?
No PPC, no SEO. It's dormant and undercapitalized. Fix it and you make the big bucks.

$2000. I'm taking a loss, yes. That happens. I want it gone. PM me.

Nice to see others in the twin cities area. I have a few questions:
1.) What was your original order with your manufacturer? (How many bottles, price per bottle). How much cheaper does a larger order make the per bottle price?
2.) How many bottles have you sold in total?
3.) Is there an expiration date on the bottles / on the lot? If yes, when is it?
4.) What are the three domains?
5.) Is there a list of other available ingredients (at your manufacturer) that can be added to the product & label?

    1. I lucked out at got an original order of around 130/bttles. The manufacturer was in the process of moving from primarily liquid supplements to encapsulation. I actually managed to get in touch with the VP of sales, who give me one hell of a deal. The minimum order was usually around 1000 bottles.

Current price is about $10.60/bttle WITH LABELS. Larger orders will drop the price down to around $4-$6, if I remember correctly.

    2. Only 14 bottles have been sold. Again, I barely run any marketing. So, I'm actually pretty pleased with that. lol
    3. No expiration date was necessary at the time of order, only a 'manufactured on' date.
    4. engagenutrition.com (parent company), acceleratehybrid.com (I was originally going to market it as a 'hybrid' brain/energy); thought I had another, apparently not.
    5. You can research ingredients on your own and run them by the chemists/formulators. They will make a trial batch, test it for safety and quality and will then give you the green light or red light. Otherwise you can hire them to develop a formula for you. Either way, if you are looking to change the formula drastically, it will require a new trial batch. It will be like starting from scratch.

We ordered the labels from a company that has a great relationship with the manufacturer. We designed them, they approved everything on the label, printed them and shipped them to the manufacturer to be put on the bottles. There are several hundred unused label that can be used on the next order.

Really, if you market properly, the worst case scenario is that you break even, or do a bit better than even, after selling all of the bottles. Remember, I'm taking a loss on this, so you should theoretically do better than even.
