$300 - Web Design | Main Page & Logo | Coded

    Hey,

    I have been looking for a web designer for a very VERY long time and no one seems to be capable of giving me a good level of service therefore I am opening up the competition to everyone.

    Contest information:
    I require a web design for the main page of my web hosting company. This must include a custom logo and must be coded into valid xhtml/css upon completion.
    The winner will receive an additional $225 for 3 sub-pages (coded).
    The winner will only be required to design these sub-ages when chosen as the winner of this contest.
    All pages must be coded into valid xhtml/css.

    To clarify, all I require at this point is a main web page design and logo. Main page to be coded when declared the winner.

    I reserve the right to not choose a winner if none of the submissions are acceptable to me.
    This is a multi-forum contest.

    What company is the design for?

    The design is for a brand new web hosting company called 5ITE.com.

    What do I need in the design?

    The design needs to be highly unique and stand out from the web hosting crowd. We would prefer for the layout to be different from the typical web hosting layout that has become common place on the internet.

    What coloured do you need in the design?

    We have no specific requests in terms of colour, use your own discretion.

    What features do you require on the main page?

    All design specifics can be found here: www.5ite.com/design/info.html
    Obviously you only need to do the design for the homepage, not the sub-pages.

    Style?
    We want the design to be as unique as possible. We don’t want the traditional web hosting boxy design to be something featured in the design. We want to present a more interesting layout.

    Heya! I might be able to participate on this one. Couple of questions though...

    Do you want everything to be 'hand coded'? I'm a drupal developer so is it alright if I make my entry on this one with Drupal or any other CMS for that matter? No ones hand coding their stuff anymore these days (especially if you want it to be more robust, secure and scalable.).

    What is your hosting script?

    Do you prefer liquid or fixed layout?

    Yes coding must be by hand in XHTML/CSS
    Hosting script? We don't use a hosting script, this is a web hosting company.

    Liquid or fixed? Up to you.

    Web Hosting Script/Web Host Management Script i mean. You know the ones where they manage subscription, account management, pay plans, use for billing, etc. I want to know if its custom made or some generic script. Or am I missing something here? Dont tell me we will need to code them ourselves? As what you have stated I think we only go as far as creating buttons, menus and some text box. So I'm wondering what kind of backend technology you use to support your whole web hosting process.

    WHMCS is our billing platform but that has very little to do with this contest. As stated in the original post, if you have any questions PM me. I don't want this thread cluttered with questions, I want to focus on the designs.
