I just wonder whether these wordpress adsense plugins steal your Adsense earnings, or do they take a cut from your earnings?
Well, they shouldn't steal any earnings. None of the plugins I have used stole anything (that I know of ) @lelkoun: it is easy to steal some clicks: lets say I am the plugin developer. I can generate a random set of ads, lets say 90% are your copy-pasted code in the plugin and 10% are my code. That would mean that every page view gives me a 10% chance to have my ad listed instead of yours. Same colors, same code, different pub- Hope that my english makes sense.
Maybe people should just check out the source code of installed plugins and the "stealing" problem is solved. I think that there is no reason to use AdSense plugins. Implementing ads JS code to theme files is easy. Even a monkey could do this.
Yeah. You are 100% right. The only problem is that people who can read / write code dont need a adsense plugin maybe I am only speaking about myself
You don't need to be able to read or write code to copy and paste. I have never used an adsense plug in, even before I knew how to read code. It couldn't be easier..set the size you want and paste it where you want it to be. I've seen all kinds of shady crap in the source code of plug ins, especially from those NOT listed with the Wordpress repository. If they are listed there, you should be able to trust them as I am sure they check them out first before they offer them up to the community.
I don't know if that's true. Every plug in and theme submission to the repository is not automatically accepted. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/about/
That's right. But only the submit request is being approved. Nothing more. The plugin's source code can be uploaded after the approval process.
I'll have to defer to you on this since I have never submitted a plug in. That would make it a crap shoot then. Usually the only thing most developers will do is embed a link back to their site. Only a few times have I seen multiple links to a bunch of different sites and I'll never use anything from those developers ever again.
