how long will it take to get $3-$5 a day?

I know this is a really general question, however i am planning on starting up about 10 websites all on different niches, all topics i like. I belive per click the adds average at about 50c. I was just wondering how long it will take to reach $3-$5 a day with adsense.

I know alot of things can interfer with it, like how many hits, how saturated the market is and what not, lets just say if you google this specific idea you get about 1 million results, if you get #1 on google, how long do you think it will take?

And lastly, how long did it take for you to get $3 - 5 a day.

    thanks!

Actually there is no time limit. You can earn more if you work more on your sites. Try improve your contents and update your website daily. It will earn you much.

Depends on your niche. Gadget/tech blogs tend to make more in a very short time.

There is no magic formula to bring you traffic.. here are my suggestions..
    * Create more content pages and update the pages with unique contents regularly.
    * Optimize your website for better visibility in search engines.
    * Build links (as many as possible) by submitting to directories, link exhanging, article writing, wtc..
    * Search this forum for more ;)

Just as maldives said, there are loads of useful information in the forum. I'm at the same point at you. Just started to develop a bunch of mini sites and I've found a lot of nice tips and tricks by reading threads in the forum.

10 websites on different niches is a lot of work (I did it myself at one time). It's pretty hard to monetize effectively (or visibly) this way in a short time because you're putting all the time into optimizing each site. Even if you have a lot of time and some good content writers, lifting 10 sites off the ground will take a pretty long while. I'd recommend just going with maybe 1-2 sites and putting all your time into making those 1-2 and making them good, rather than your effort divided over 10 seperate sites. Just my experience, though....

I wonder what is the best equilibrium between number of sites owned and time dedicated to each one

I've only been online a couple weeks and occasionally manage a $1 day, though not every day certainly. I imagine I'll be $3-$5 a day from AdSense alone in 6 or 7 weeks' more time. If I keep putting in 30 hours a day, I'd be even more confident of it ;)

    I have two sites:

One a eBay affiliate site and another a blog.
The blog is actually owned by someone else, but I host it on my server for free in exchange for the owner allowing me to put my Adsense ads on it.

Both sites target a super tight niche, I basically own the niche.

The blog runs anywhere between $2-3/day, it earned this right from the jump.
And the affiliate site runs about $300-400/month.

So it's not hard, just do a little research.

With 10 websites, and a steady stream of small scale traffic (say 50 uniques per site), you should be ideally able to reach $3 day by the end of week one:)

I was able to make $5 a day after 20 or so days with Adsense w/ just 1 site.

Even a one-page site giving visitors exactly what they're looking for will fit the bill:)

If your 10 sites have low competition and get good backlinks i am sure you will get $5/day in no time
