how to get members for new forum

i have launched a forum it-pk.com
There are visits to my forum.
My alexa rank is
1 month 1,633,114
3 month 2,827,053

But still no member regestered.
I have checked regestration/signup page is working.

Any suggestions to get members please.
Please help me.

 

in 3 months you should have got some of members...

1) Money makes the mare go...Offer paid posting

2) Run post contests and give rewards to the winners

3) Be active yourself on the forum. And give prompt replies to all new posts.

4) A lot of forums are out there, make your forum more interesting than others, i am sorry but i can see that the topics in your forum are not so interesting.

There are many tips on how to get members, impossible to post them. if you need pakistani members i can provide you, but you have to pay for every member i give you. But before that you have to add some more categories to your forum. Thanks

 

The whole "build it and they will come" routine doesn't work for the web.

I don't see anything on your site that's appealing to either visitors or SE bots. I'm going to assume you have no experience as a webmaster or forum owner. The road ahead of you is going to be very long.

I suggest you start by reading hundreds of existing threads here.

just google for the same type of forums you are having, copy topics from several successful forums, you can also add some additional interesting topics from yourself.

To get members you have 2 options.

1) Spend money
2) Work hard for your forum.

i remember when i first created my forum i had like 5 accounts and i would post questions with one, answer with the others and on and on... i did that for awhile just to start filling up some subforums and then members began to register.

back there there was a place where you could hire people to post for you but the advantage of doing it your self is you know your topcs and you know the information. trying to BS you way through can be tough when talking about a technology or a hobby etc.

 

i am a beginner and also building my own forum. Probaly some of my experience could give you few thought

first of all you need to make your forum look active. People tends to stay longer in an active forum, and joining if they feel interested. U could do this by posting by your self using some different username, working with group of your friend, or if you have budget you could hire some writter to post in your forum daily. Then you could start by inviting every people you know in internet to your forum.

After you have enough content in your forum you could start promote it via social website such as facebook etc.

in my case, i have some one expert in his field who willingly join and active in my forum. He helps me a lot in bringing a lot of traffic and member. Mabe you could try this too; finding someone expert enough in his field to join an active in your forum.

 

you forum has too few posts. Hire somebody to post or post yourself under different accounts. People won't register unless there is a benefit of registering (which is ability to ask question or promote their stuff) which is very little in a forum that is not popular yet.
You can also try to boost your alexa rank for that reason - to make it look more popular that it currently is until the real users will come.

I will gather more budget and then start marketing.

Create a topic "Contests"... Give prize like easy load of Rs.25 to the top poster each week, you know that pakistani people like easy loads too much, hehe... Then go to active pakistani forums like itdunya.com, try to join forums whose niche is same as yours, be active there, make as many posts as you can, make a big prominent signature displaying "Earn free easy load" every week, also try www.olx.com.pk... It was just a suggestion, you better know what is more better for your site... You can also run referral contests...
