Hi! We have something else we would like to put up as a contest. Winner to be paid via PayPal on Friday 20 July. WEBSITE DETAILS: 1. This website is for a niche poker community and will offer training, blogs, videos, forums and more. Please see "basic_sitemap" for the menu. 2. The company is predominently aimed at gay people who enjoy or are interested in playing poker. (Straight players are not ruled out). "The gay, lesbian, and straight friendly poker affiliation". 3. Initial design thoughts are that the background is dark where contrasting, fun/neon colours will make an impact while still keeping it professional. 4. We only require one page for the design as the rest can be created from it. 5. Company logo hasnt been agreed yet, just use appropriate text for now or have a go at this if you wish. 6. Website will have a place to put advertising banners on it, most likely horizontal. CONTEST DETAILS: 1. To be fair: No entries via PM and no late entries, please. 2. Regular feedback on all designs will be given 3. I will allow revisions to be made 4. Winner provides .PSD file and fonts used. I will send $100 via PayPal and give honest iTrader. RULES: By submitting an entry, you agree to the following: 1. You must create the designs yourself. No templates. You must not use any images you do not have the right to use. 2. If you use watermarks, it must say "Sample" (for consistency). Do not let watermarks affect your design. I recommend not using them. 3. You agree to let me use a representation of your design. If you do not win, you keep all rights and your design will not be made into a website. Feel free to remove it from this contest. 4. By accepting the winnings, winner agrees to transfer me full rights to that design and you agree that you will not use the winning design for anything else. The deadline will be enforced as long as there are at least five entries. One person can submit as many entries as he or she wants. SUGGESTIONS: 1. For images, check out iStockPhoto or similar sites. 2. For colour combinations, colourlovers.com! Thanks, good luck, and have fun! Jamie
in the content area are there any key features you will require to be there? I know you said the page will be built from one page but I thought id check incase there was something specific Thx ~ CGd
I cannot say for sure quite yet but some ideas we were having is a section for an embedded video, possibly a section for the latest blog post or twitter update. Best if you do not take my answer as a certanty but if your stuck for content ideas then that will help. I will get back to you with a definate answer of the content very soon.
Hi, before I start working can you tell me if you prefer minimalistic website or with many images and content ? Maybe you can show us a website you like.
That is a hard question to answer really. Some page will have much content, other will have less. The general structure of the website is determined by what looks good though. Some confirmed things to include on the page are now:- • The latest blog post (Title and Description) • A random poker video? (Embeded Video) • Latest sign ups? Maybe images of their avatars? (Images of people signed up) So to sum up the features we need:- Side Menu Space for Horizontal Adverts Latest Blog Post Embeded Video Login Box Latest Sign Ups I hope this helps

We are announcing CG Designs as the winner. We didn't want to accept a PM but this person was worried about people copying their work so we allowed it. Fortuantely, their design was exactly what we wanted. We will post the winning design very soon. Thank you all for your entries. If we find a use for something similar in the future we will refer back to you. Kind Regards
